Nicole Donegan

Chief Cat Herder

Portrait of Nicole Donegan

Describe yourself in three words:

Passionate, Intense, Loyal

Describe what you do at FG:

I herd cats. That started as a joke, but it does fit. Cats are independent, intelligent, self-sufficient, and have minds of their own. I feel like we have a lot of cat-like personalities (which is ironic since we’re almost all dog people). My role is to let the cats maintain their independence and put their intelligence behind their work, but give them support, guidance, and direction to make sure they are successful.

If you were a punctuation mark, what would you be? Why?

An exclamation point. If you can’t stand behind a decision and defend it wholeheartedly, you shouldn’t propose it.

What’s your creative advice?

Listen! And help people find their next step. Most people have ideas, but often have difficulty executing those ideas. If we can help our clients find the first step and then the next, it often helps them find a path to completing their goals.

What’s usually going on inside your brain?

A mash of 1980’s cult classic film dialog, the vision of a boat drink on a sandy beach, a never-ending to-do list, and the nagging feeling I need a new hairstyle and a massage.

What makes you look forward to coming to work?

I love that every day is different. I love that we can have direct and measurable impacts on the success of our clients.
