Justice Housing

Challenge

The Yakima community has a critical shortage of affordable housing, making it especially difficult for those working to pull themselves out of cycles of poverty. Justice Housing had solicited private and public funds to construct a tiny house community to address this need, but required more visibility to raise additional funds to complete the project.

Goal

Help Justice Housing fill the $235,000 gap in funding needed to build Cottage Hill Place and establish Justice Housing as a trusted community organization.

Strategy

FG provided Justice Housing with a marketing strategy, an editorial calendar, social media content for one year, a video describing their project and goals, a donor packet, an e-newsletter template, and press releases to help them build awareness of their project and encourage donations at no cost.

Outcome

As of September 30th 2024, construction on Cottage Hill Place is 75% complete. Community members will begin moving in March of 2025.
