The Port of Pasco didn’t have a social media presence or a staff member with the capacity to manage the task. They needed help leveraging social media to share information and build trust in the community.
Build an engaged audience on the Port’s social media platforms—with a mix of informative, approachable, and community-oriented posts—to position the Port as a reliable community partner for economic development.
Field Group launched the Port’s Facebook and Instagram platforms in June 2022, speaking directly to stakeholders and community members. In October 2022, we added LinkedIn to connect with professionals and foster connections nationwide.
We met monthly to identify timely content and to ensure we collected enough information for bi-weekly posts. Field Group also managed weekly engagement – following and interacting with new profiles and responding to comments and messages.
The Port’s LinkedIn profile currently has 1,394 followers and has seen a 50% increase since January 2024.
Their Facebook page has 1,908 followers and has seen a 15% increase since 2023. In that same timeframe, their Facebook reach has increased 25% and impressions have increased 21%.
The Port’s Instagram page currently has 655 followers and has seen a 47% increase since 2023. Their Instagram reach has also increased 60% and impressions have increased 47%.
