We established strong partnerships with key organizations working directly with the community, including Allied People Offering Year-round Outreach, Center for Latino Leadership, Empowering Latina Leaders & Action, La Casa Hogar, Nuestra Casa, and Unidos Nueva Alianza Foundation. With their insights, we developed essential bilingual tools to deliver critical health information.
Our first step was to design a vibrant, engaging brand that resonated with the audience. We then launched a comprehensive website featuring health resources, showcasing community partnerships, and reinforcing Juntos en Comunidad's dedication to the Hispanic-Latino population.
Recognizing the importance of face-to-face communication for this community, we adopted a grassroots outreach approach. We created culturally relevant materials such as a Loteria game, children's puzzles and workbooks, informational magnets, health insurance booklets, illness prevention flashcards, and shopping bags. These materials directed users to the website for further information.
Over 90,000 customized outreach products were distributed to our Hispanic-Latino audience throughout the Yakima Valley. These products reside in homes, serving as a long-term resource and a reminder that Juntos en Comunidad is the trusted partner for health information. The website quickly gained traction, accumulating thousands of views within its first five months.
