Describe yourself in three words: Goofy, Super-cool-and-fun-and-funny-and-creative-and-amazing, lover-of-hyphenated-words
Describe what you do at FG:
If there’s a website that needs coding, I code it. If there’s a web app that needs apping, I app it. If there’s a pot of coffee that needs making, I make it (and drink it). If there’s a hilarious blog post that needs to be written, I will write it.
What’s your creative advice?
Just do it. Don’t think about what it should be or what other people want. Create what you want to see/read/hear.
There’s a line from a song from a musical called Title of Show (that’s the actual title of the show) that goes like this:
I’d rather be nine people’s favorite thing
Than a hundred people’s ninth favorite thing.
I like to think about that when I’m writing or creating. Better to be loved by a few people then kind of “meh” to a ton of people.
If you were a punctuation mark what would you be? Why?
The Oxford Comma, because it’s correct.
What makes you look forward to coming to work?
The people. A lot of people say that their work is a like a family, but ours for reals seriously is. I can’t imagine working anywhere else. Everyone is so supportive and encouraging.
I also love that we get to do creative work that actually exists in the real world. I mean, I’ve made actual websites that are on the actual internet right meow. It’s amazing to me that I get paid to do that.
